Christmas Already?

As you can see Andy decided it was time to add a little Christmas cheer to the site. I hope everyone enjoys it. I thought I would take a little time to update what's been going on with us for the last couple of months. Elijah played flag football this year. I have to admit, it was the cutest thing I've ever seen. A bunch of 6-8 year olds in uniforms with helmets trying to get a ball 20 yards down a field for a first down without tackling anyone is a funny site;) Elijah played defensive tackle. The first half of the season, he really didn't get it. He would block but then he'd let them through. Coach held a kick off each week in practice to decide who would be the kicker in the game. Elijah won the right of kicker for the 4th game. That game made all the difference. His confidence level soared. After that he was even able to play on the line to protect the QB. It was a really good learning season for him. We had 15 players with 10 of them being their first year to play. We ended the season with only one regular season loss & we were the SuperBowl champs!!!!!! Way to go Bank of Madison County Tigers!!!! I am going to download a few pics this weekend when I get a second.
People keep asking about the adoption. And nothing has changed. Due to the backlog that China has, we are looking at probably a 3-4 year wait. The CCAA just matched referrals from Dec. 14, 2005. Our date is April 4, 2007. So, as you can see we probably won't have any news for a while.
My secret pal struck again. This time she sent me a calendar for 2008. It is full of facts about China with tons of pics of adorable Chinese children. I can't wait to put it up. She also sent a book called "Just Add a Chinese Sister." It's about a boy & his journey to becoming a big brother with the adoption of his sister. It's precious!!!!! Each month she has added some kind of hairbow or clippie. This month was no different. This month they are red & white with adorable lady bugs in the middle. I can't wait to try all of them on Hannah Grace. (I guess I should pray she has hair ;)
I'm signing off for now. The boys are wanting to play, since it's a rainy Sat. morning. We must go build a fort in someone's bed!!!!
Enjoy the holidays. Talk to you all soon. -Charity
