FLU

Yes, you read that right. After being exposed more than 4 times to the flu & praying it away, somehow we managed to get that bug on the only weekend that it is pretty outside. How does that happen? I thought the flu was suppposed to thrive in cold temps. Anyhoo. We had a good day yesterday. Heath & Noah both played well in their basketball games & then we met with a group of adopting/adopted families from our agency. Our SW is helping us organize a support group that will meet quarterly for some fellowship & she'll provide mini training sessions on topics that the group feels relevant. Yesterday we met several new couples & got to chat with some old friends. It was a lot of fun & I can't wait until May. During the time of our training (brainstorming) the boys were playing hockey & basketball with a few other boys. I could hear Heath coughing and just thought he was getting hot. WRONG. By about 11:00 that night he was burning up with fever. Around midnight he managed to wake Noah up with the coughing, so we played "Chinese Red Light" with our beds. Heath went & slept with Andy, or I should say they laid in the bed together. Charity slept, oh I mean laid down, in Heath's bed. Noah finally got back to sleep after about 2 hours & Elijah was oblivious to it all.
We have all the boys on the good ol Tamiflu & praying that we don't get it. The Dr. today explained that the flu shot (which we both got) has only been 40% effective this year. Meaning, we've got a 60% chance that we could still get the flu.
I guess that's all for now. I got a package this week from my SP - I'm going to dedicate the next post to her/him. Until then....
