That whole title just seems so unreal. I mean, when you wait for something, or someone, for over 4 years you have to constantly pinch yourself to make sure that reality sets in when the actual event happens. We have had an amazing first & a half week home with Miss Priss. She just lights up our house with her little smile & attitude. I don't have any new pics downloaded to this computer but I will get them for another post. Yes, it should be very picture heavy!!!!!
I still have lots to update on the travel blog. I will get to that as I have time. I know it won't be in order, but I will fix it when I am printing off her book. That's one of the main reasons for these blogs anyway. This is my shortcut way of scrapbooking the events in all of our lives.
Tomorrow we have our first post placement visit with our SW. I can't wait to see if we are doing all right in her eyes (yes I need that validation.) There are things that I am concerned about (didn't say worried). But we will be working on it.
She is pretty happy most of the time (as long as she gets what she wants. LOL) And she likes most people that she meets as long as she isn't meeting too many at once. We are trying to keep the crowds to a minimum for now. The boys are just chomping at the bit to take her to church to show her off to their friends, but we just aren't there yet.
She still loves her dresses. She wants to dress up even if she isn't doing anything. We even put on one of our finest for Sam's today. I am sure everyone thought I was one of those proud Mamas but I assure you, I would have rather her worn her shorts (at least she doesn't get too dirty.)
Speaking of our little outing today - I have to tell you about our experience at the checkout counter.
We were waiting in line with all the rest of Jackson that didn't go to the lake. She was sitting in the buggy being quiet & just watching as things were going on. This Mom in the lane beside us points to her & tells her son (about 3-4 years old) "look at that little girl. She's being so good & quiet. Why don't you try to act like her." Well I wasn't going to say anything. Let bygons be bygons (yes, spelling is still a problem for me) Then she proceeded to kind of "chat" with us. She was saying hello & what a cute little girl she was. blah blah blah. Then I told her, "she still isn't speaking too much English. She's only been home a little over a week." Well, now that I have started dialogue we are now BFFs. So we do the usual chit chat & go on our merry little way. Then as we are leaving we get in line in front of them. Hannah Grace has decided at this point that she likes the little boy. She smiles & waves at him. Then it happens. She says "Ni Hao"(which means hello in case you didn't know.) The little boys says "Do you think she learned that from watching Ni Hao Kai Lan?" Isn't that just the cutest. We laughed at that for a long time. As we were going to the van we could hear his mom explaining to him that she used to live where Kai Lan was from. You could just see the excitement in his little face - it was like he had met royalty. Oh the joys of preschoolers. I love how simple their lives are.
We made it through our first photo shoot tonight, per my mom's request. Since the family pics didn't turn out so well from the beach thanks to the wind that appeared that day, we were all told we would be having pics made while they were down. Hopefully one will turn out. Not sure considering we were trying to get 10 people to all look at the camera at the same time. We'll see. Of course then we let the boys run up to the playground at the church we were at while Miss Priss had her own personal time with the photographer. She even made it through 2 more outfit changes. I hope they turn out. Cande showed me one of them & it was BEAUTIFUL. Can't wait to see how much money we'll have to fork out for those. LOL
Have a good evening. I hope everyone stayed safe & had a good holiday weekend. Thanks to those of you who serve or are a family who sacrifices daily with a member serving for all of us. I know we could never repay you for what you must go through each & every day. But, please know, we are thankful.!!!!!
Just wanted everyone to know hopefully I'll be getting back into a schedule. Talk to you soon (& yes with pics - I know that's the only reason you come by here anyway.!)

HMMMMMM, I was thinking that YOU needed to update instead of me! I am ready to Miss Hannah Grace. I will be updating my blog sometime today/night. Glad things are going well.
