Tuesday's Update

 Ellie-Joy taking her morning nap.
This is Fekadu & his family.  That's his mom holding EJ.  Fekadu is holding Darci & Jamye's son.

I was able to talk to Andy quite a few times last night & today.  I've gotta start sleeping myself - my shift is coming up on Sat & I need to be ready. ;0)  She is doing well.  She only woke up once during the night & that was because of a dirty diaper.  He has figured out the sign of when she's hungry - she smacks her lips.  Oh, I just think that's the cutest little thing.  I hope she is still doing that when she gets home.  They have also started giving her more solids to eat & less bottles.  No, he's not trying to schedule her, he's just giving it to her when she's hungry.  Side note:  the reason she's so chunky - she was getting an 8 oz bottle every 2 hours during her awake hours.  I just hope she doesn't think we are trying to starve her. LOL.  I think she'll be quite happy when she discovers that we have solid food to give her.  I am still amazed that she was taking that many bottles at her age.  WOW.

Anyway, she's doing better with Andy.  She is starting to show more of her personality instead of just sitting there starring at the guys.  (Oh to be a fly on the wall for that.)

During their breakfast we were able to skype.  Once Andy finally got her to see me on the screen of his phone, she kept trying to scratch me.  It was so cute.  She'd scratch at the screen & then look up at Andy as if to say "aren't you gonna do something about this?"  It was priceless.

They did get the clearance from the embassy.  Her visa will be ready on Thursday & they will leave out on Friday to start the trek home.  I can't wait for them to be back here.  I am so looking forward to Saturday. ;0)
