WHY?

She got out her gie gie's hats from China. (it has a long braid hanging down her back) She said she was going to have a long pony tail one day. (she points to the floor if you ask her how long it's going to be.) Yes, that is her goal in life right now - to have long hair. Oh the simple things in life of a 4 year old.


She was so proud when we were able to get her hair into pony tails. Our first attempt didn't turn out too bad - just a little crooked. She practically begs to have them put in everyday.

One big one on the top of her head is her fav right now.

Now on to the topic of this post.

Do you know the biggest difference between boys & girls? Well, we have discovered it.... No, it's not the sitting vs. standing, it's not the body noises are funny vs. body noises are gross, it's not that one sees clean as a weekly bath while the other sees it as a daily necessity..... it's "WHY?"

I cannot even remember the boys asking why even once around this age. They pretty much just took life as it was given to them. They might argue about it or even fuss, but they never questioned anything. Miss Priss on the other hand has to ask WHY? for everything - even when she already knows the answer. WOW - I am amazed & thankful that she can ask this simple question (we know that most kids in her circumstances probably wouldn't be doing this yet). But, for all you girl moms out there - HOW MUCH LONGER will this last??????
