A sweet dear family that has also been touched by adoption surprised us last week with a check to finish off our matching grant. WOW - what a blessing. I am still in shock over that one, but so humbled & thankful for people who are willing to do whatever it takes to help get these orphans home.
We had our 1st post placement visit with our social worker. I can't believe it's been long enough to go through one of those. But, we did & we made it (us & the SW.) I can't imagine what she thinks when she sees our names on her schedule. But, even though we had a little altercation & it was loud, we still had a good visit. ;0) She surprised us with some news. Not sure if I can share it yet or not, but when I can I will. (I put it out there so I will remember to update you all.)
Andy's work had a fun afternoon planned to celebrate EJ's homecoming. They surprised him with some fun gifts for his 40th birthday (which they missed cause he was out of town)
She was showered with lots of cute & adorable things to wear this Fall. Now that the weather is cooperating, I'll have to get some things out for her to have some kind of fashion show. ;0)
EJ enjoyed the afternoon eating her styrofoam (rice cake) while we all enjoyed Bro. Jim's ribs. YUMMMY
The boys begin gymnastics tomorrow. I am one excited Mama. 2 hours for just EJ, Noah, & myself. Yes, I'd love to spend that time shopping, but I imagine I'll be using that as my planning time for school while little bit takes a nap.
Have a great Labor Day.
