Here in town we have some friends who have come in & out of our lives at different stages. And just recently we have gotten in touch again. They are an incredible family. Our first encounter came with my husband. He meets lots of people where he works & he had the blessing of meeting this family. Then when Elijah was at Pre-K at Trinity, we had the honor of getting to know this family even more. Their son, Cooper, was in Elijah's class and the two were pretty close friends. They never really played outside of school, but as I look back at pictures, Elijah is always near Cooper or one other little friend. My children were only at Trinity for Pre-K. So, move forward a little bit. We are adopting from Ethiopia and guess who contacts me out of the blue? Yep, you guessed it. I am so amazed by how God orchestrated all of it. Now, Amy & I email regularly with the ups & downs of the process. She continues to be what I'll call my adoption mentor. The Crenshaws are pros when it comes to adoption. They've been to China on multiple occasions to grow their beautiful family. Well today - Dec. 22 - they are experiencing their US Consulate appointment in Ethiopia for their two sweet boys that they will be bringing home on Christmas Eve. Wow. What a Merry Christmas they are going to have as they reunite their entire family together to celebrate Jesus' birthday. Pray for them as they travel. Their long journey is just about over & the next part of their lives' journey is just about to begin. Welcome home everybody.
