I've gotta tell you how we are "back to normal." Well, at least what our normal is now. Andy, Miss Priss, & I went shopping this week while the boys were at VBS. We went to Best Buy, spent some time looking around, found what we needed & headed to the checkout. A girl was helping us & couldn't ring us up due to a computer problem. So, we head to another section. Now, know that Andy is busy taking care of the money part of the transaction. My job is to take care of Miss Priss - whether that means entertainment, distraction, food, etc. You get the idea. Well, I am in the "Mom" zone and react accordingly - I think. One of the girls at customer service makes this comment: "I love her haircut." Now, for any normal person, that would probably be a great compliment. I don't even think before speaking. What comes out of my mouth????
"She came that way." It was out before I even realized what I had said. Andy just sat over there laughing. Now, for me, it made sense. But, now in hindsight I guess that was the wrong thing to say. LOL
I have spent the last couple of weeks trying not to make a huge deal out of Miss Priss. I've tried not to over-analyze or give explanation for anything she says or does. I mean the fact that she was adopted was an event that happened a month ago. It doesn't define her. But of course after that great remark - I HAD to explain. WOW. Am I a great mom or what? LOL LOL LOL

So, my new motto: "She came that way!!!!!"
