What Did We Bring Back From Ethiopia?

CHICKEN POX!!!!!

It's been a week since we've had the breakout.  Almost all of them are scabbed over.  Tonight we dropped the boys off at church to meet Andy & we headed over to the Sonic to get supper & some ice cream.  She still had her jammies on & was barefoot, but we didn't care.  It was time to get out of the house.  We almost got away with out any stares thanks to a corvette meeting but as we were finishing up our ice cream one of the workers noticed us.  Of course she had to get all of the rest of the employees to stare & make a fuss over us.  Did they come over to ask or find a cause?  Of course not, instead we just kept being the spectacle that they needed for the night.  HG is doing really well.  The scratching has stopped.  She hasn't asked for an oatmeal bath in 2 days.  And hopefully the scabs will start to fall off soon.  We are quite ready for things to be back to normal.

Andy is busy booking plane tickets right now, but it looks like he will get to leave on June 3rd & we will be reunited with Morris#7 on the following Saturday afternoon - I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!  Thanks for all the prayers.  They were definitely felt.  Even though the plane tickets seem to be a little more for the summer months than just 2 weeks earlier (now), God's hand is still all over this plan.  As we have gone through the day, He has shown us more & more reasons why she isn't to come home for another couple of weeks.  Even though it's hard to take & selfish, at least He's showing us why.  And for that I am thankful.  I am thankful that He is still in control.  I am thankful that He cares enough to let me in on the little details.  And most importantly I am thankful that He loves her even more than I do. ;0)

And I am still updating the Ethiopia trip.  Hopefully I will be able to get most of the highlights done before he leaves & it's time to update again.

Love the story you left on my blog of your gramps! funny! i just laugh, to be offended takes way too much energy and really is it worth it? people realize what they have said after they say it - no need to make them feel bad. :) just silly!
Can't wait to see you get back to your sweet little girl!
