Noah & North Carolina

Noah is blessed beyond belief. The school he attends is a magnet school. And not just any magnet school. But THE best magnet school in our nation for the last couple of years. They have won so many awards & there is always people coming to visit. I know he doesn't or even can't appreciate all the bonuses that he receives on a daily basis. I know the public school systems in our country don't get much credit. So, today while I am showing off Noah's accomplishments I wanted to give a shout out to our favorite principal, Mr. Bailey at Arlington Elementary School. It really is a blessing to be a part of this school.
Now to explain the pics. The fourth grade has a parade of states. Noah's state was North Carolina. It was fun watching him do the research. (After seeing some of the floats, it was obvious that not all the kids did their own. SIGH) My parents actually live close to the boarder of NC & we had been to some of the places that he was going to talk about in his presentation. (Oh to have been a fly on the wall when he explained that float.) He helped his dad by printing off most everything, because we knew no one would be able to read what he would have written, except his OT of course. ;0) The guidelines were simple. You had to include an outline of the state with the capital marked, one extra fact about the state (anything extra was bonus), and it had to be on wheels.
We still don't know what grade he got, but in my book it was definitely an A. No matter what grade you get, I am so proud of how you did. Noah, you are growing up so fast. Congrats on a job well done. Your dad & I love you.
Oh & yes, his brothers came to cheer him on. When the parade was finished he was able to go home if he wanted or he could stay. I was shocked when he told me he was going to go home. He likes his schedules so much, I figured I would just hang out on that side of town for the next hour to go get in carpool. Oh well, he never ceases to amaze me. (Ms. Donnelly, he's making it!!!!) As we were headed to the office to check out, Heath grabbed his hand & held it the entire way. TOO CUTE!!!! I know the pics are blurry, but I grabbed the camera which was on the wrong setting. But I wouldn't give anything for those kinds of shots. I just love watching those boys take care of each other. (It's a true blessing, because I know when they start fighting - it's for blood.)

I'm eating too many cookies tonight..its that pre adoption stress I guess :) This is the hardest part fyi....once you have that pic. ITs happy and sad all at the same time. Bringing her home will truly be a miracle straight from the hand of God. What a journey.

I know JUST how you feel. Every Friday our agency would send out Korea updates...and there would be girl referrals every time all for families who hadn't waited near as long as we had!!! So hard to understand why its not my turn yet! I remember crying one Friday because they told us we are "next"on the list for a referral and there was a baby girl on the update that wasn't referred to US. So hard, but I wouldnt trade our Molly girl for any of those other little ones. Because she is OURS! Hand picked by God to be a Howell. Can not wait for your referral...............so excited.
