"My boys" found their forever family today. I am so excited for them, but at the same time, I am sad. I didn't realize just how much I had fallen in love with them. I am so thankful that they don't have to wait on us, but I do admit this is hard. I had already made plans for the boys' room. Our kids were ready to meet them - they are having a hard time with it too. Heath said "it's a good thing, but why am I sad?" I had started looking at 12 passenger vans - I guess I can go back to the Honda & Toyota dealerships now - look out Andy. (Any suggestions, we aren't sure what's for us.) It's hard to explain how I feel. I guess it's a good news, bad news kind of day.
Blessings sweet boys. There have been alot of prayers said for you. And don't worry - they will still be coming. You will always have a place in my heart & in the hearts of our family. Maybe you both were to be the catalyst for things to come....

Excited they found a family and will be praying for you and the boys. May I suggest a HONDA! I LOVE MY HONDA! We, well Nicky, researched and researched vans and decided on the Honda. Love the room, love everything about it! Nicky even gets an email when my van hits the mileage where it needs the oil changed! Did I mention, I LOVE MY HONDA!

I called them "my boys" too and am so excited for them (but totally understand the feelings- there was no way we could adopt 4 kids in one year, but I was trying to figure out how we could do it). I know the family they will go to and they will all be blessed! I have a Kia Sedona and really like it- very similar in size to the Odyssey but cheaper.
That's awesome! I like Jennifer must say that I love my Honda! We've had it for 4 years and I have had no regrets. We shopped Toyota too but are glad we went with the Odyssey! They are trying to get rid of 2010's now!!

Wow... it's amazing how much two little boys who we've never met could have such an impact! I have been praying for them specifically ever since I saw their picture in the IAN office. So happy for the new family being formed, and for God's sovereignty! :)
Charity, I found your blog via Amy's. My husband and I are adopting the boys. I wanted to leave the link to my blog--which is about to become a lot more adopted-focused!--so that you can keep up with the boys on their journey. All of your prayers are very much appreciated! I can understand your feelings of sadness amidst joy that they've found a home. And can I just say I love my Honda too?! This is my 3rd Honda, and I can't ever imagine buying anything else!
I'm sad for your family but so happy for those boys and their new family. Your prayers have made a difference in their lives! God definitely answered...just maybe in a different way than you had thought.
And about vans...we have a Mazda MPV - I think the new ones are called something else. Some years have a better track record than others. Ours is a 2001 and it is GREAT! And lots cheaper than Toyota or Honda...but one of those will probably grace our driveway sometime in the future :-)
Can't wait to meet you all.
