Asking For Help

1st - Ellie-Joy has the chicken pox.  We are asking for prayers for her during this time.  Hopefully she'll have a good enough case that we won't have to worry about that anymore.  But at the same time, I pray she's having a light case so she won't be too miserable.  Poor thing.  Our doc seems to think she should be fever free by the time we get there.  Hopefully her scabs will have started to shed.  And I pray she doesn't scratch at them too much.

2nd - We are taking donations with us to Ethiopia.  If you would like to help send some donations, please pick something from the list & get it to me before Wed.  I am hoping to be packed up by Thursday.

Items always needed

• Hand Sanitizer for the infant room

• Baby wipes

• New toddler clothes (specifically trousers)

• Pedialyte powder

• Multivitamin syrup for infants (Polyvision)

• Diaper covers (for cloth diapers)

• Disposable diapers, many sizes (for rainy season)

• Vitamin D liquid for children
Other requested items

• Baby bottle cleaners for big bottles (the sponges that look like toilet cleaners)

• Baby lotion

• Anti fungal cream for the scalp

• Clear nipples for bottles

• Pajamas, different sizes

• Disposable cups

• Milk for malnourished children (F100)

• “real people” movies, not cartoon movies

• Pack and Play

• Bumbo chairs

• Flip Flops for workers
• Scrubs for nannies

3rd - We were awarded a $3000 MATCHING grant.  We are getting ready to send out a letter to ask for donations - I must admit this is a hard thing for me to do.  I know it's pride, but I can't help it.  But, it's a requirement for the fund.  They will match any/all amounts up to 3K.  Can you believe that?  I was really hoping to just do one last fundraiser but God is once again showing me that it's out of my control & I must rely on Him.  The good thing is all donations are tax deductible & will help bring an adorable little girl home (hopefully sometime this summer.)  Andy is posting it on FB with a link to paypal or you can email us with the information for where to send checks.
Have a great weekend.
BTW - we leave in 8 days!!!!!
