Life

How do we live our one life that we are given?  For us, it involves many facets.  And that's for another post....
Yesterday I had the oportunity to go & eat a nice lunch with a bunch of women from church - no kids, no happy meals, no sports channels being discussed.  It was beautifully decorated to follow the "bloom where you are planted" theme.  It was a wonderful time with friends, until you factor in that I hadn't taken my allergy pill. DUH.  So, I went home with a migraine (after stopping by the pharmacy).  I told you all of that to understand that Andy had the kids to himself.
We were all scheduled to go to the funeral home.  One of his employees' father passed away.  Andy worked it out to drop off the boys at their differing events at church & took HG.  I wish I had been there to witness what I am going to share.  Of course she stole the show.  They all were aware that we are leaving this week to go meet our daughter in Ethiopia.  One of the ladies is an amazing hair dresser & is already planning to help us. LOL - Andy warned her we wouldn't require her services so quickly since the big shave. ;0)
HG wanted to know why Dorothy's father was in the giant treasure box.  WOW - what a way to look at it.  Andy in his wisdom told her because he was a treasure not only to his family but to Jesus.  They spent a while talking & answering all of her questions.  Yes, this is the first time that I believe she has seen a dead body before.  (she has mentioned a child dying at the orphanage but I think they died at the hospital)  I am so proud of how Andy handled it.  He even said that the minister said he handled it well.
So, now we are answering a ton of questions.  She really amazes me with how she processes things.  She associates so well.  Once again, that's another big difference between her & the boys.  They never really asked questions like she does.
So, today we are trying to live life to the fullest.  We want to enjoy what God has given us & be able to share it with others.

And another amazing thing about life - it's so fun to share in the lives of others.  Some sweet friends are bringing home their daughter from China.  We've smiled, laughed, & shed some good tears while looking at her sweet pics on the internet.  It's so reassuring when you read emails from them there that God has such a big amazing plan.  It really is a miracle to watch.  And we are the ones whose life has been blessed because of them.  We can't wait to share our life with CC.  What fun we are going to have.

* Tina with TheStoryOfYou has fixed our Ethiopia Trip tab.  Hopefully we will be able to update while we are there.  She is amazing.  I love working with her.  If you need someone to help with your blog - I HIGHLY recommend her.  Thanks Tina we love it.  Looking forward to fixing this one up once we get home. ;0)
