One Year Ago

Right now it's 7:17 on my computer. This time a year ago I was sitting in my husband's closet realizing that something MAJOR just happened over our house or pretty close to it. In just a few short minutes we would start hearing the calls on the talk radio station that Union had been hit. I remember sitting there in the dark thinking only the unimaginable as the reports kept coming in. "Total destruction, Students trapped, Chaos, We need help, my dorm's gone..." These are just some of the FEW statements that we heard before we came out of our shelter. Andy's store was missed by just 100 feet, but the bank next door was competely destroyed. In hind sight we know it was God's divine hand keeping so many safe. There were customers throughout the store & several classes upstairs when it hit. If it had come through that building as it did the bank, I must admit we'd have a different type of remembrance tonight. The destruction to UU alone was over 40 million. Every building on campus, except one had some form of damage. It's amazing to know God spared every single life that night. Yes, some were injured, but thankfully they are all living to tell about it.
It's strange to go on campus now. My old dorm is gone, the only thing left is the name of that building in a stone monument in the middle of the beautiful new dorms. Life moves forward & we do to. Praise God for the miracles that He performed that night & still continues to bless us with each day. To Him we give all the glory & honor.
THANK YOU
