It's Lucky!

Look who showed up at my house this morning!!!! If any of you remember me talking about the tornado that hit Union a couple of years ago, you might remember me mentioning the UPS driver who was in the back of his truck getting a package when it hit. For those of you who don't remember - his truck ended up in the Union sign. Well, this is him. LUCKY. He delivers to Andy all the time at the store & I hear many stories of Lucky. He is a really great guy.

So, this morning I hear the truck headed into the cove. I ran to put the dog outside. Then I grabbed my camera & could have met him in the road, but I tried to control myself. ;0) I asked him if he knew what he was bringing today. He said no. Then I told him that today he wasn't just a UPS driver - he was the STORK!!! Because he had my baby girl in that package. You should have seen the smile on Lucky's face when I asked him if I could take a picture of him. He was so kind & then started going on about how excited Andy will be. I told him I was gonna get a shower (hence why he's in the pic alone) and head up to Union so we could get the signatures & then send the paperwork right back to Grand Rapids. When I got to Andy's store he said Lucky had been by & he was still so excited for us. Thank you Jesus for positive people that you send our way that have had a part in bringing Hannah Grace home.

The next part I have to document just so I don't forget. We went to LifeWay so we could sign the paper. Andy of course carried it around showing it to everyone. I guess it isn't every day that you get a fancy document with Mandarin characters all over it complemented by a fancy seal from the government of China. Then we took it over to the FedEx place. I think the man thought I was crazy. I almost didn't want to let go of it. I think I almost threatened him to take care of it. After the transaction was complete, he dropped it into a bag along with other pieces to go out. I promise you I didn't take my eyes off that package for quite a while. It looked like he threw it into a trash bag. He told me over & over about the tracking number and how I could watch it all day/night long. He then reassured me by telling me I could come back at 6:00 to watch it physically get put on the truck. LOL I guess I should be ashamed, but I'm not. We are SOOOO close, don't want ANYTHING to happen to that one little piece of paper. It was funny. As he smiled, he said "don't worry - you know where I am & I'll know where the driver is." Okay- I guess I am a little obsessed. ;0)

Sweet girl, hang on just a little longer. Mama's coming.

Oh, I guess you all are wanting to see pics. Be patient (lol) they are coming. Andy will download them tonight.
