Goodbye Christmas 2008

Well, the story of baby Jesus has been read; we've prayed sweet prayers of thanksgiving; we've unwrapped all the gifts; and we have played all the games at least once. It's been a fun & blessed day. Now, it's time to tuck the little ones into their comfy, cozy beds where they can dream about all the fun they've had today. It's hard to believe that another Christmas has come & gone. If only we could bottle up today to give to the world. It's here many days of the year, but our world seems to have forgotten how truly special that little baby boy is. How can we go about our lives for the next 364 days & not share what we know is so special today? I must do better, I have to!!!! The thought that so many are missing out on this is truly heartbreaking.

This week Beijing has recorded record low temps for their winter. Just the other day it was -8 degrees. Please join me in praying for all the children there (and around the world) that are living in orphanages without parents to truly love them, possibly without proper heat & nutrition. We are so blessed & have so much to be thankful for, yet my heart can't forget about those little ones.

I am signing off for a few days. But I'll be back before we count down to 2009!!!

Happy Birthday Jesus.

Merry Christmas guys! We love your card..ours are going out tomorrow :)Can't wait ot see you more during bball season! We are counting down with you till that referral. It is amazing to be on this journey with you! Looks like ya'll have had a lot of fun. Enjoy the break, although the temps this weeked may require us to put our pool back up...TN has the weirdest weather in the nation. I tried to convince the boys that it wasnt snowing when Jesus was born :) that didnt go over so well. TO them Christmas means feet of snow. We put paper snowflakes all over the windows and that helped a bit!
Love, Jen
