Well for the month of December the CCAA did another small batch of referrals, but put us 6 days closer. They have officially placed children through Feb. 23, 2006. As a reminder, we are April 4, 2007. We plan on counting down with some form of visible countdown when we get to only a year out. I think I'll just be excited when we have under 400 days to go. Wow, that sounds unbelievable.
Our agency reported that of the original 17 people for this last group, they only received 6 referrals. That means 11 people have either dropped out, switched programs/countries, or already been given a special needs referral. I knew there would be some attrition but I was a little shocked that it was that much already. I would get excited to think this would speed us up a little, but I know that there are so many people switching to SN, that it could actually push us out a little further. The good thing that I have to remind myself is that God is in control. He knows where & who my little Hannah Grace is.
It's a cold & rainy day today. Yesterday it was 60 with a strong wind & now we are awaiting ice. I think we are going to have to do a lot of snuggling & reading today. Anybody got any good recipies for days like today? We're going to need something to do. ;0)
