SNOW DAY REPORT

This morning we woke up to a little ice. I was really suprised considering that by the time I went to bed they had all but cancelled our hopes of getting a day off. Andy got up early & went off to work. The roads didn't seem to be very bad, but the bridges were a mess. Thankfully by the middle of the morning the temps had risen enough that everything was melted.
We have watched enough tv the last couple of days to last me quite a while. We've baked chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies (that didn't turn out very well), and made a shopping list for a couple of art projects to come at the end of this week or the beginning of next week. We've read some & getting ready to read another book - The Tale of Despereaux. Heath bought it back in the summer before we knew anything about the movie. Well, now that they've seen the commercials they've decided to pull the book out. I hope it's a good one. We've wrapped gifts & played on the computer. I'm getting tired just thinking about it all. So, what do you do on a snow day?

Loved hearing about your day! I stayed up until 1:00 am and went to bed totally depressed that we would have to go. I got up, got the kids up, got everyone ready and THEN realized the boys I take to tutorial weren't at the house. It was at that point, I turned on the TV and realized everything was cancelled. I was really excited, but what a missed sleeping in opportunity. You are a fun mom, I made my kids do school at home...we are way too behind! They did finish early enough to get in a little computer time, though!
By the way, I am also impressed that you are doing a craft! My kids don't know you can do those anywhere besides church! ☺
Oh, and last night (at 10:00 p.m. when Chris and I were getting a little shopping in...we bought 20 Christmas cards, hey, at least the family will get them!
