Do You Know What Today Is?

Today is a holiday & unless you are involved with the adoption world, you may not know anything about it. Today is National Birth Mother's Day. Even though we don't "know" our daughter yet, this day still demands my respect. I have tried to imagine what our birth mom is going through. I've tried to imagine the tears that she is/will have to cry. I've tried to imagine all the reasons that she might have to make the hardest decision in her lifetime. I pray that she will know a peace in her heart that her precious little one is going to be safe and loved. I pray continually that somehow & someway she will come to know our Lord Jesus. I so very much want to be able to meet her in Heaven and tell her the difference that her bravery made in our little daughter's life. I know I will never be able to repay her. So, I send this prayer out to the vast internet void to let that special woman know how much we love, respect, and appreciate her.
