Last Thursday the boys & I met Autumn & "Aunt" Joy at the park for a morning of fun followed by a picnic. The kids had a great time playing & we were able to get a little talking in. The boys love being around her. They say that they are "practicing" for when Hannah Grace gets here, which I think is too cute. They are going to be the best big brothers & I can't wait to see what God has in store for these young men.
Now, they are learning that some things will change. First being meals. The boys chowed down on just about everything that I brought for them: sandwich, chips, fruit, veggies & dip. They looked over at Autumn & she hadn't even taken but a couple of bites. I thought it was all rather funny. Joy wanted her to eat, so the boys were cheering her on trying to get her to eat. I explained to the guys that they needed to get ready to be a little more patient at mealtime because girls eat slower & less (thank goodness!!!) than boys do.
The next thing they will need to get use to is all the accessories. When we got in the car to go home, they started questioning why girls have so much stuff. I asked what they were talking about. They said you know... bows & stuff. I said girls just like to dress up a little more than boys. I couldn't figure where this was coming from & then I remembered that Heath was "taking care" of Autumn's sunglasses for a while. I guess I do need to do a little more educating with them. The funny part is - they are in for a LOT more shocks than just this!!!! hehe
