Let's Celebrate!

Melkam Addis Amet!!

Happy New Year.... Ethiopian that is!! Today is Enkutatash, the Ethiopian new year. It is now 2002 in Ethiopia.

Don't ask me how to pronounce it, because I can't. I haven't gotten very far in my Ethiopia 101 crash course. I am learning though. I'm so glad I didn't miss our first holiday for Ebaby. They celebrate their new year today because they follow a different calendar than we use. I'm not exactly sure what kind of celebrations are normal, but you can bet I will be sure to find out. Hopefully by next year's we will have Ebaby here to help us. YIPPEE.........

(click on Enkutatash for a cool explanation. I set the link but for some reason it isn't changing color or underlining or anything that I want it to do. UGH)
