My Heart

is in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in Africa. I can not tell you how pumped I am about this process. I have to brag on my sweetie. Let me tell you how this all went down this week. We've been praying about ET & kind of decided that we'd be ready to start the process in a couple of months. Andy comes home for lunch on Tuesday. He asked what the website was for our other possible agency. Before I realize what has happened, he's typing away. When I asked what he was doing he replies with the best surprise ever - "I just sent in our preliminary application." WHAT???? I couldn't believe my ears. He admits we don't have the money, but we need to follow God's will - we needed to do it. Just a few short hours later I received a call - we were approved. So, now we are working on all the paperwork (can you believe that we are starting over on an adoption?) Our SW will come by on Tuesday for us to sign the rest of the paperwork for our 1st agency. I don't know if this is optimistic or not, but I would love to think that we'll have the paperwork done in less than a month. If that can happen then we can "get in line" with the new agency by November. If that was to happen, then we could possibly see a referral around March or a little later with travel happening early next Summer. I can not believe that Andy & I will be traveling to AFRICA in 2010. It's funny. I remember as a child saying that "God could send me anywhere but Africa." I am so glad He didn't listen to me. I want to go so badly - and most of you know how I HATE with a passion flying!!!! You know this is the real deal for me to want to get on another plane & travel that far.
So, there you have it. My heart is in 3 pieces - one here, one in China, and now the last part in Ethiopia. I can't wait to get all my pieces put together. ;0)
