Swee Har talking to Hannah Grace. She is FINALLY getting HG to speak Mandarin to her. HG just hasn't wanted to speak Mandarin & it's breaking my heart. I truly have believed her when she said she had forgotten so many words. We would look them up & HG would go "oh yeah". But last night we had a break through. On her own she called Swee Har in MANDARIN to come over to her. I was just about in tears when I found out she does remember some. We praised her so much over that. I hope she understands that we want her to remember. I even told her we would learn together - at that she smiled.

Some of the West TN area adoption group met at Asia Garden (YUMMY). This is HG with her cousin Leanna. It just melts my heart to see these two together.

What can I say?

The boys obliged when I asked them to wear their Chinese clothes that we brought them. Unfortunately only the shirts now fit. LOL They just look so handsome.

HG with Autumn. These two crack me up, especially when we ask them to pose for a pic. It's funny at church we get told all the time that these two look alike. So many people confuse them for each other. I just thought people weren't paying attention & the fact that both our families are good friends seems fitting that I could be "babysitting" her. Now others are seeing it too. We had people telling us last night the same thing. Then the local tv station did a quick segment & Autumn was shown. I had a few calls asking if that was HG. Too funny. Maybe that will change when HG's hair grows out like she wants. LOL.

When we got to the restaurant we found a table & put our stuff down. Well, while we were off talking I came back only to discover that our table was now a BOY only table with no adults allowed. Oh they grow up so fast.

I just had to show this. The cute little girl with her arm around HG is our friend Mahli (pronounced Molly) who was adopted from India. She is the cutest little spitfire. I tell her mom all the time how much I just adore watching that girl. She is truly a mess. But it made my day when I saw how they were standing for the big group pic. TOO CUTE.

Well here they are. Not a bad crowd for the weather we had & it being a school night. I did find out from several people in the group that we have the newest member to come home. And I believe last night our cousin Leanna was the oldest member of the group being adopted over 13 years ago. Wow, how time flies.

Towards the end of the evening, I noticed HG was playing & talking to a few girls just having a big ol' time. And then I realized who was playing with her. My sweet little friend Abby. Oh how she has grown into such a beautiful young lady. I use to teach her at MDO so long ago. Her mom was such a blessing & mentor to me when we were still in the praying stage.

Oh man! Hate we missed this too! I need HG to teach me some mandarin. That's what Gateon spoke and he didn't talk after coming home so we now know nothing! Would love for him to speak it again!
